About cookies

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Websites can also keep small pieces of information in your browser's own storage. This page lists everything this website stores in your browser and why.

Cookies we set

We only use cookies that are strictly necessary for the services you ask for:

• sigma_cart: remembers the beams and other items in your basket or quote as you move between pages. It lasts up to 30 days and is removed when your order or quote request goes through.
• sigma_customer: keeps you signed in to your customer account. It is set only when you sign in, lasts up to 30 days and is removed when you sign out.

Cloudflare, which protects this website, may also set a short-lived cookie (such as __cf_bm) to tell people apart from automated traffic. It is strictly necessary for security and is not used to track you.

Settings kept in your browser

• apg-mode: remembers whether you chose the light or dark look.
• sigma_announce_dismissed: remembers that you closed the announcement bar.

These stay on your device and are never sent to us.

Content from other services

Some parts of the site are loaded from other services: the address map in our quote and account forms comes from Google Maps, the map on our contact page from OpenStreetMap, and some photos from Unsplash. Your browser connects to these services to load that content, and they handle any cookies or data involved under their own policies. Our Privacy Policy explains more.

Why there is no cookie banner

Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, cookies that are strictly necessary to provide a service you have asked for do not need your consent. We do not use analytics, advertising or social media tracking cookies. If we ever add any, we will ask for your consent first.

Controlling cookies

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block the cookies above, your basket and account sign-in will not work.
